About Us
Ellenhall Grange Farm has been in the Heath family for some 40 years
.
John Heath - The Heath family has been farming since 1952 and Ellenhall Grange Farm has been in the family for 40 years. John founded Bertelin Farmhouse Cheese aiming to expand and diversify the dairy farm and also achieved a lifetime ambition to make an award winning cheese, within only 15 months of production!
Lucy Heath - Lucy takes care of the business and administration side of the farm and Bertelin Farmhouse cheese, and is always on hand to assist the team. She is often the face of Bertelin, watch out for her selling our tasty cheese at a show near you!
Tom Heath - Son Tom looks after the four legged ladies to ensure the milk is of the right quality to make our delicious cheeses.
Rhonda - Rhonda is our expert cheese-maker, she has been with us since day one and keeps us on our toes!
Jenny -
Jenny is involved in the cheese making and also deals with the technical side, keeping up our high
quality standards (we have been awarded 5 stars from
both heart of England fine food and Stafford borough
council, Rate My Place).
She can also be found selling Bertelin cheese at Country
Show’s, keeping up our philosophy of customers speaking
directly to someone with production knowledge!
Jane - Jane packages the cheese in the correct format and size
for our many varied customers, ensuring it reaches them
at the same high quality practiced in all areas of
production and maintenance .
Steve - Steve not only makes the cheese but also ensures they are maintained correctly while aging in
our special maturing rooms on the farm.
He is in charge of
regularly hand-turning over 300 12-15kg cheeses..which
saves him a trip to the gym!
